As of May 10th, another four cities in Guangdong, namely Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan and Dongguan, have achieved a vaccination rate of over 40% for COVID-19 vaccines among people between 18 and 59 years old. Earlier on April 20th, Zhuhai became the first city on the Chinese mainland in which more than 80% of the population has been vaccinated against COVID-19.

As of 24:00 May 10th, over 29.08 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Guangdong in its mass vaccination campaign.

At present, Guangdong has 6,299 vaccination units in 2,289 regular vaccination sites across the province, and 7,156 vaccination units in 856 temporary vaccination sites. Based on the average inoculation number of 150 for each unit, the province has a daily inoculation capacity of about 2.01 million.

The province will further promote its mass vaccination campaign, guarantee vaccine supply, and ensure all people eligible for vaccination have access to it.
